Dear Bird Family, I worked with David the past few years when he would contact me about energy data. I found him to be at the top of the pack of various reporters I work with in terms of his professionalism and knowledge. He was always unfailingly courteous as well. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his disappearance and death. I am so sorry for your terrible loss and will be keeping you in my thoughts.
